Overview
As a Sales Assistant at Bake & Butty, you are the friendly face of our bakery and sandwich shop. Your main role is to deliver excellent customer service, ensure the display and shop area always look inviting, and help drive sales by promoting our fresh products. You'll be part of a small, fast-paced team focused on quality, speed, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Provide detailed product information and recommendations to maximise sales opportunities Engage in merchandising activities to ensure attractive and organised displays Upsell products effectively by understanding customer preferences and needs Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
Requirements
Strong communication skills Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Basic maths skills for handling transactions Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays Excellent time management and organisational abilities to meet daily targets Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates Ability to work well within a team and independently as needed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
