We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position requires a proactive approach to upselling and assisting customers with their needs.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored recommendations. Utilise upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Handle transactions accurately using basic maths skills for cash handling and processing payments. Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery. Manage time efficiently to balance multiple tasks during busy periods. Provide support in answering customer queries via phone, demonstrating strong phone etiquette. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks.

Requirements

Proficiency in English is essential; knowledge of Spanish or other languages is highly desirable (multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply). Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is an advantage but not mandatory. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage customers positively. A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing the customer shopping experience. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
