Overview
A & B Trade Paint Supplies are currently seeking a full time sales assistant to join our team in St Helens. This role is about providing and maintaining an exceptional high level of customer service and collaboratively working alongside the store team. A positive and motivated approach will be key, driving effective sales with our different range of decorative paints and sundry items.

Our customer base varies from retail through to builders and trades people who hold accounts and maintain repeat business. A key part of your role will be to identify customers needs, potential new clients, establish positive relationships and open customer accounts.

We are looking for individuals who possess excellent sales experience, ideally within a trade counter or retail background.

Occasionally, the role will also include delivering products and materials to our customers

Responsibilities
- Safely drive a delivery van to transport goods to customers
- Work within a small team to deliver sales targets and growth
- Stock control and general warehouse duties
- Communicate with customers in a professional manner face to face and over the phone
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks

Skills
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous
- Full driving licence
- Ability to drive safely and responsibly
- Strong communication skills
- Capability to lift heavy items when required
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial

- Computer literate

Occasional tasks may include:

- Updating the website with products and prices ensuring the website is up to date

-Dealing with website orders and ensuring that they are posted out on time

- Updating the social media presence of A & B Trade Paint Supplies Ltd in order to increase sales

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 - 42.5 per week
