Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs Provide detailed product information and demonstrate features where applicable Engage in upselling to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service standards Maintain visual merchandising standards to ensure attractive product displays Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and handle cash, card, or mobile payments Manage stock levels by organising shelves and replenishing items as needed Answer customer queries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy Assist in organising promotional events or sales campaigns within the store Support team members with daily operational tasks to ensure smooth store functioning

Skills

previous electrical wholesale knowledge is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers Excellent organisational skills to manage stock and maintain visual standards Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately Effective time management to prioritise tasks during busy periods Phone etiquette skills for professional customer interactions over the phone Ability to upsell products tactfully to enhance sales performance Merchandising knowledge to create appealing displays that attract customers Organised and reliable with a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service

During exceptionally busy periods some driving may be involved so a full driving license is required. The position will mainly be a mix of taking deliveries, answering phones, order processing and some stores work. we are a small independent electrical wholesaler where flexibility and teamwork are vital
