Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong ability to sell, and a knack for upselling products to enhance customer satisfaction. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy engaging with customers to meet their needs.

This is a part time role up to 16 hours a week. Weekend availability needed.

Duties

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner. Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products. Utilise phone etiquette when handling inquiries and processing orders over the phone. Perform basic maths calculations for transactions and sales. Engage in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. Maintain an organised and tidy sales area, ensuring products are displayed attractively. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance overall store performance.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable (bilingual candidates preferred). Demonstrated ability to sell products effectively and engage customers positively. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Previous experience in retail or sales is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well within a team environment are essential traits for success in this role.
