Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and personable Sales Assistant to join our retail team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, promoting products, and supporting the overall sales objectives of the store. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in merchandising, communication, and organisational management within a dynamic retail environment. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to assist our diverse customer base. Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs Provide detailed product information and demonstrate features where applicable Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring stock is well-presented Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly approach Handle customer enquiries via phone and in person with professionalism and courtesy Maintain organised stock levels and ensure the sales floor remains tidy and inviting Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including handling cash and card payments Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and stocktaking Promote special offers and loyalty programmes to enhance customer engagement Support team members in achieving sales targets and store objectives

Qualifications

Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively Basic maths skills for handling transactions and stock counts Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in merchandising and stock management Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods Demonstrated phone etiquette when dealing with customer calls Experience or interest in upselling techniques to maximise sales potential Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required Previous retail experience is beneficial but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
