Sales Assistant/Cashier required at Shell Ulverston. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, able to work as part of a team have a happy can do attitude and most importantly be dependable

Our Sales Assistants love people and love variety. They make sure that our service station is always a welcoming place for customers and help to keep everyone safe. They process fuel and shop sales for our customers, handling cash and a variety of cards. They keep the station clean and the shelves full. Above all, they enjoy interacting with others and treating customers as guests.

Responsibilities include:

Welcoming and greeting customers - we will need you to be friendly and warm! Providing great customer satisfaction through excellent service. Keeping the station clean and well stocked. Dealing with deliveries. Food handling and preparation. Managing point-of-sale processes. Sharing knowledge of our products with customers. Making sure we always work in a way that looks after the health and safety of our colleagues and customers.
We are looking for people who will always be friendly and welcoming to customers, giving them full attention and treating them as guests. Other important qualities and attributes are:

Looking professional and well-presented. Working well under pressure and without supervision. Being a great communicator - talking with customers and taking time to understand what they need. Being flexible in your approach and having a can-do attitude - our customers really appreciate great service. Being sincere, positive and resilient.
Fully Paid Training will be given once the job offer has been made and accepted. Whilst some retail or customer experience would be beneficial due to the nature of the role, a great attitude and willingness to learn is essential.

Hours based on a minimum of 20 hours per week (This can be slightly flexible so please don't let it stop you applying whether it is more or less hours you are looking for) . From time to time you will be asked to provide sickness and holiday cover for other staff members so preference will be given to candidates who can be flexible in this respect.

You will be selling age restricted products so you must be 18 years or over.
