Rendells is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers, Estate Agents and Rural Surveyors with offices located in Newton Abbot, Totnes, Ashburton and Chagford.
The partnership conducts sales of antiques and collectables from their saleroom at Stonepark in Ashburton, and offers specialist agricultural services including valuations and surveys, livestock marketing, farm and machinery sales and agency for agricultural grants and subsidies. In addition, we operate an estate and lettings agency throughout the South Devon area.
The Role
Rendells Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers and Estate Agents are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to join their small team as a full-time saleroom assistant at their Stonepark Auction House
Duties
- General auction room duties, including some heavy lifting
- Conduct data entry tasks, such as lotting and cataloguing, accurately and efficiently
- Assist with managing and responding to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Maintain a high level of phone etiquette when communicating with customers
- General photography
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude with the ability to multitask efficiently
- An interest in antiques would be an advantage but not essential
- Proficient in data entry and office software
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
We require a bright, enthusiastic and capable individual with excellent communication skills along with basic technical and IT ability. Full training will be given.
