Duties

Greet customers warmly, providing attentive and personalized service to enhance their shopping experience Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities Operate the POS system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance Assist customers with product selection by offering knowledgeable recommendations based on their needs Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to ensure a well-organized store environment Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and conducting regular stock checks Apply basic math skills for cash register operations, sales calculations, and inventory counts Uphold excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support team supervision by guiding new team members on store procedures and customer service standards when needed Engage in product demos to educate customers about new items or promotions, boosting sales opportunities Promote upselling techniques to maximize sales potential while ensuring customer satisfaction

Requirements

Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is a plus Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms; bilingual abilities are highly valued Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in fast-paced environments such as grocery stores or retail outlets Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management is advantageous Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cashiering and retail math tasks Professional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally over the phone or in person Supervising experience is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are appreciated for team support roles Must be able to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
