Sales Associate



Thule Group is a world leader in products that make it easy to bring along the things you care for when living an active life. Under the motto "Active Life, Simplified", Thule offers a range of products including roof racks, roof boxes, cycle carriers, bike trailers, strollers and child bike seats, as well as hiking packs and luggage.

Thule Group has approximately 2,400 employees at 8 production facilities and 35 sales offices worldwide. We employ 50+ staff at our site in Haverhill where we produce roof boxes and handle the European distribution of all Thule products, and 15+ staff between our two London stores.

We currently have an opening for talented and enthusiastic Sales Associates to join our newly opening store in Kingston-upon-Thames.

The Role



As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales, and fostering brand loyalty. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and ensuring the store maintains a welcoming and organised environment.

Duties/Key Responsibilities



Customer Service & Sales:



Provide exceptional customer service by actively engaging with customers to understand their needs. Utilise product knowledge and sales tactics to recommend the right products, driving sales and exceeding customer expectations. Resolve customer concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.

Brand Representation:



Strengthen customer loyalty by delivering first-class service that reflects the brand's values and authenticity. Stay up to date with current trends and the brand's position within the retail market.

Product Knowledge:



Develop a thorough understanding of all products, including their fit, finishes, construction, and usage. Assist customers in the fitting of outdoor products, including vehicle attachments and outdoor bicycles.

Store Operations & Merchandising:



Restock merchandise on the sales floor, ensure promotional materials are properly set up, and participate in small visual merchandising projects. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe store environment that aligns with company standards.

Compliance & Security:



Follow all operational procedures, including those related to personal and store security, loss prevention, and stock management. Report incidents, stock issues, or quality concerns to the management team promptly.

Health & Safety:



Take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as the well-being of others in the store environment. Ensure all areas of the store, including back-of-house, meet health and safety standards.

Education and Formal Training



Educated to minimum GCSE level

Experience requirements



At least six months of experience in customer service and/or retail preferred. Experience in a hands-on roll desirable - manual handling and fitting of Thule products to customer vehicles are essential requirements for this role. Familiarity with retail operations, visual merchandising, and stock management is a plus.

Working hours



Monday to Sunday 16 hours per week. 8 hour shifts with 30 minute break on a Rota basis.

Pay: 14.00 per hour
