We are seeking a dynamic and personable Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to engage with diverse clientele. Fluency in multiple languages, particularly English and Spanish, is highly desirable to effectively serve our diverse customer base. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide attentive assistance to meet their needs
Promote products through effective upselling and cross-selling strategies
Maintain attractive product displays and organise merchandise to maximise sales potential
Provide accurate information about products, features, and benefits using excellent communication skills
Handle customer enquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette
Manage transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and process payments efficiently
Assist in stock replenishment and inventory management to ensure product availability
Support organisational tasks such as maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the sales floor
Engage with customers in multiple languages (English and Spanish preferred) to enhance service quality
Demonstrate strong time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Experience
Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Multilingual skills, especially fluency in English and Spanish, are highly desirable
Familiarity with merchandising principles and upselling techniques is a plus
Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain an orderly sales environment
Ability to work effectively within a team while managing individual responsibilities
Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service delivery during peak hours
