About the Role
Our client are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations, ensuring smooth order processing, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This position requires a proactive approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities

  • Order Processing:
  • Process customer purchase order numbers accurately and efficiently
  • Enter orders into the company's system, ensuring all details are correct
  • Verify order information, including pricing, quantities, and specifications
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues with orders promptly
  • Logistics Coordination:
  • Liaise with the logistics department to coordinate order shipments
  • Track order status and provide updates to customers and internal teams
  • Ensure timely delivery of orders and address any shipping delays or issues
  • Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders as needed
  • Customer Service:
  • Serve as a key contact for customers, addressing inquiries and concerns
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships
  • Communicate order status, shipping information, and any changes to customers
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments or management
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with sales, logistics, finance, and production teams
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure order fulfillment
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and projects as needed
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
  • Documentation Management:
  • Manage shipping documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Prepare and process customer invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintain organised records of all transactions and communications
  • Update systems with relevant information, including order status and customer data
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate regular reports on sales activities, order status, and customer feedback
  • Analyze data to identify trends, issues, or opportunities for improvement
  • Assist in preparing presentations and summaries for management
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales coordination function
Qualifications and Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a sales support or customer service role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Great communicator and team player
