We operate a large HGV fleet comprising of tippers lorries of various sizes, grab lorries, roll on-off lorries and pick-ups that undertake third party muck away and deliver aggregates, soils and compost to a range of customers.
Reporting to our Transport Manager we are looking for a person to join our team and help further develop our tipper business.
Role
Take incoming calls from customers - both businesses and private individuals - price new work and take orders.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and help expand our customer base.
Work closely with our transport planner to assist in delivering outstanding customer service through organising the routing of our HGVs.
Be willing to deputise for our planner in their absence and assist in managing our busy tipper fleet.
About you
You will be used to a busy office environment and preferably have experience in all or much or the above.
A "can-do" approach.
Have excellent customer service skills.
Be driven to deliver outstanding customer service.
Confident professional telephone manner.
A passion to work in a sales and transport environment for an expanding successful family business.
A willingness to be involved in other aspects of our business such as heavy plant hire.
