Sales & Customer Service Assistant
to help us deliver an exceptional customer experience, both in person and over the phone.
Summary
As a key part of our small and dedicated team, you'll be the first point of contact for customers visiting our showroom or getting in touch by phone and email. You'll help guide customers through their purchase journey, process orders, and ensure they feel supported from enquiry to delivery.
This is a varied and hands-on role that combines
retail sales, customer service, and administration
-- ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic workday, takes pride in presentation, and thrives on giving excellent service.
Responsibilities
Welcome and assist customers in our showroom, providing knowledgeable and friendly advice
Handle incoming phone calls and email enquiries in a professional and helpful manner
Guide customers through the buying process, from initial interest to final purchase
Process orders accurately and efficiently using our internal systems
Order & Delivery Coordination
Communicate with customers to arrange delivery times and confirm delivery details
Liaise with our dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth delivery operations
Keep customers informed throughout their order journey
Complaint Handling
Listen to and resolve customer complaints with patience, empathy, and a solutions-focused mindset
Follow internal procedures to escalate or resolve more complex issues when needed
General Admin & Showroom Duties
Respond to general email queries and manage inbox organisation
Maintain accurate customer records and order information
Keep the showroom clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
Assist with general day-to-day tasks to support the wider team
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or sales is preferred
Confident communicator, both in person and over the phone
Calm, patient, and professional when dealing with complaints or difficult situations
Good attention to detail when processing orders and managing admin
Friendly and approachable personality, with a team-player attitude
Comfortable using email, phones, and basic computer systems
A proactive approach to keeping the showroom space clean and welcoming

32.5-hour working week (with set days agreed in advance)
