The Role
As a Sales Development Representative, you will be the engine of our commercial team. Your mission is to identify and create new, qualified sales opportunities in our target markets. You will be responsible for the very first outreach, sparking conversations with future clients, and articulating the value of our groundbreaking technology. This is a fast-paced role where you will learn the fundamentals of high-tech sales from the ground up, with a clear path for career progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential clients and key decision-makers within target sectors (Med-Tech, University Research, Aerospace, etc.) using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and industry databases.
Initiate contact with potential customers through a combination of cold calling, personalised emails, and social media outreach.
Clearly and concisely explain the Innova Nanojet value proposition, generating interest and curiosity.
Conduct initial qualification calls to determine if a prospect is a good fit, understanding their needs, challenges, and purchasing power (using frameworks like BANT).
Book high-quality discovery meetings and product demonstrations for our senior Sales Executives.
Meticulously track all activities and update lead information in our CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
Work closely with the marketing team to follow up on inbound leads and with the sales team to ensure a smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
Consistently achieve or exceed your monthly targets for meetings booked and qualified leads generated.
About You: Skills & Experience
Essential:
A high-energy, driven, and ambitious individual with a strong desire to build a successful career in technology sales.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; you must be confident and articulate on the phone.
Resilience is key; you have a positive attitude and can handle rejection without losing motivation.
A natural curiosity and the ability to quickly learn and understand complex technical concepts.
Highly organised with exceptional time-management skills.
A collaborative team player who is also capable of working independently.
Desirable:
1-2 years of experience in a B2B sales, telesales, or SDR role, preferably within a tech company.
A Bachelor's degree, especially in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) subject.
Experience using a CRM (like Salesforce or HubSpot) and other sales tools.
