We're a growing tech company based in Milton Keynes, passionate about helping UK SMEs strengthen their cybersecurity posture. Our mission is to make enterprise-grade security accessible, simple, and scalable for smaller businesses. As we expand, we're looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our close-knit team and take the lead on generating new business opportunities--particularly around our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) and other security services.
About the Role
As our SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for many potential customers--sparking conversations, uncovering pain points, and qualifying prospects before passing them to the wider sales or technical team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and has a genuine interest in cybersecurity.
We're a small team, so you'll have a real impact here--and your voice will be heard.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research potential SME clients in target industries
Carry out outbound prospecting (cold calling, emailing, LinkedIn outreach)
Book and conduct discovery calls with decision-makers
Understand and communicate the value of our cybersecurity offerings (e.g. MDR, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanning)
Qualify leads based on fit and readiness to buy
Work closely with the founder and tech team to tailor solutions and close deals
Keep CRM up to date with lead activities, notes, and next steps
Provide feedback on campaigns, messaging, and client objections
What We're Looking For
1-2 years' experience
in B2B sales or SDR role, ideally within an MSP, tech or cybersecurity environment
Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly
A self-starter who takes initiative and can work independently
A real interest in cybersecurity and how businesses protect themselves
Comfortable with outbound outreach and picking up the phone
Ability to accurately qualify leads using frameworks such as BANT
UK driving licence and willingness to travel to Milton Keynes regularly
