This is a
fixed-term
, full-time role (
35 hours per week
) until February 2026, with potential for extension.

What you'll be doing:
As a
Sales Development Specialist
, you will engage with homeowners via phone and email, understanding their needs and guiding them through
energy-efficient solutions:
Present
bespoke energy efficient solutions
, including
insulation, heat pumps, double glazing, ventilation systems, and solar panels
.
Educate homeowners on
retrofit financing options
,
government grants
, and available
funding opportunities
, ensuring
high conversion rates
from initial inquiry to project commitment.
Utilise proven
sales strategies
to convert active interest into action, achieving or exceeding
business development targets
.
Maintain accurate
CRM records
, tracking
customer engagement
and ensuring seamless
retrofit project progression
.
Contribute to
YorEnergy's sales strategy
, refining the
customer journey
and optimising
conversion rates
.
Deliver compelling
presentations
to homeowners and internal stakeholders to promote
sustainable home upgrades
.
Negotiate agreements that benefit both homeowners and YorEnergy, securing successful
retrofit project commitments
and fostering
long-term customer relationships
.
Who we're looking for:
Proven sales expertise
- Minimum 3 years' experience in
sales within a business to business (B2B) or business to consumer (B2C) role
successfully achieving sales targets.
Strong communication & negotiation skills
- Ability to engage customers, present compelling
energy efficiency benefits
, and
close deals
.
Effective presentation & pitching skills
- Experience of successfully
presenting and pitching
to potential sales leads.
Results-driven mindset
- Track record of
converting leads
into committed
home energy improvement projects
.
Knowledge and experience in retrofit / energy is not required and all training will be provided.*
