We have a fantastic opportunity to join our prestigious bodybuilder brand as a Sales Engineer at our factory in Manchester. If you want to work for a company which has been in the industry for more than 35 years, are fully qualified in your profession, this the role for you.
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the sales team by completing quotes for our customers in a quick and timely manner. The role will be expected to contact suppliers, document quotes, write quoting documents and order acknowledgements in preparation to be sent out to the customer. Your role will also involve customer and sales calls to ensure that the required information is clear and up to date.
Your role can add extra value by actively looking for ways to be more effective and efficient, which in turns allows the whole department to more operational and profitable.

Day to day you will:
Completing sales quotes for customers and the sales team.
Maintaining quotes from suppliers and supplier costing.
Creating order acknowledgements in readiness to send to the customer.
Tracking quote status and reporting on customer conversions.
Creating engineering ready parts lists and specifications.
Liaising with customers on product specifications.
Ensuring that the information from sales to engineering is clear and concise.
Signing of build documentation and specifications.
Any other duties within your capability.
What's more, training will be given in areas were needed and we will work with you to identify areas when support can be given.
This role will be a great fit for you if have the following skills and behaviours:
Experience
- Previous experience as a Sales Engineer is required, with an understanding of bill of materials and the ability to translate a sold order into a format the factory can use to produce the finished product.
Communication
- It sounds simple, but communication is at the heart of this role. You need to love being a main point of contact for many customers, employees and liaising with departments across the business.

- A resilient person is someone who has strong coping skills and can draw on these when life presents challenges.
