We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our sister company Hydraflow which was established in 1991 and since joining the Rubix family has grown to serve more than 500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers. At Hydraflow we specialise in the manufacture of new and the refurbishment of hydraulic cylinders alongside design and manufacture of powerpacks, servicing, hydraulic training component supply to name but a few.

This is an exciting opportunity for a demonstrated sales & Engineering professional to join our team as a Sales Engineer based in our North Region (Specifically Northeast / Yorkshire / M6 Corridor with occasional visits to Scotland if required). This role will report directly into the Sales Director - Engineering Services.

This role will be operated on a field-based agreement and frequent driving and travel across our North Region, involving the areas above will be required within this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • To work with the Rubix external sales team and local management on the opportunities within the customer base.
  • Maintain and grow existing customers, and look for new business for Hydraflow / Part of Rubix, leverage the contacts in the Rubix network
  • Develops good working relationships with relevant stakeholders and new and existing customers and rest of the External Hydraflow Sales Team
  • Working with existing customer and newly developed customers to sell hydraulic services / products.
  • Meeting with customers & operating within a customer facing role
  • Business Development of the Hydraflow sales through targeting industry sectors which contain Hydraulic cylinder sales and service.
  • Visiting a minimum of 4 clients a day with 1 day planning and reports
  • Being responsible for your own area and developing new and existing customer accounts
  • Working towards KPIs /Targets and SLA\'s as set by the Business and your Line Manager
  • Managing day to day workload within a field based, frequent travel role
About you
  • Must have a technical and/or sales background
  • Appropriate technical qualifications or equivalent experience in the Hydraulics industry
  • Experience / knowledge in Hydraulics\' / Cylinders
  • The ideal person would have experience selling high volume products
  • Must have a clean Driving License & be comfortable driving long distance
  • Results & Sales Driven
  • Strong prioritisation skills
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working independently and supporting a wider team
  • Comfortable within a customer facing role
