The Role
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our existing customer base and developing new business opportunities. Based primarily at our Tonbridge office, you will handle sales enquiries, provide technical support, and collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams. Occasional travel within the UK and internationally will be required to attend client meetings, exhibitions, and industry events.
Main Responsibilities
oResponding to sales enquiries and preparing technical quotations
oBuilding relationships with existing and prospective clients
oProviding technical advice and solutions tailored to customer requirements
oSupporting the sales process from initial enquiry through to order and delivery
oAttending trade shows and visiting customer sites as required
oCollaborating with internal engineering teams to ensure customer satisfaction
oKeeping up to date with industry trends and competitors
About You
oStrong background in sales, ideally with experience in fibre optics, photonics, or a related technical sector
oExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
oTechnical mindset, able to understand and discuss complex solutions
oComfortable working in an office environment with the flexibility for occasional travel
oSelf-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
oFull UK driving licence and passport preferred
