Area Sales Engineer

\xc2\xa340,000 - \xc2\xa350,000 DOE, + 70K Plus OTE with UNCAPPED commission + hybrid company vehicle + mobile phone + laptop + iPad + Sick pay + Vitality healthcare + Pension

My client is a global leading manufacturer of automated CNC equipment for structural steel processing boasting an innovative and growing range of products that have allowed them to grow their market presence to an international scale.

They are now looking to grow out their team in the North of England by taking on an additional Area Sales Engineer to expand their client base within the territory. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced area sales manager to earn uncapped commission and progress within a global brand that is constantly expanding their product range.

Territory: North of England, from Birmingham upwards.

AOV: This can range from \xc2\xa3250,000 to \xc2\xa31 million pounds.

Target: Year 1 - \xc2\xa31 million.

Year 2 - \xc2\xa32 million.

The Role:

• You will report to the Sales director and work closely with the business development engineer who will generate leads on your behalf.
• You will proactively follow up on the leads and book meetings to visit clients on site.
• You will expand the profitability of over 300 existing accounts and build upon customer relationships.
• You will develop new business relationships to contribute to the growing client base.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as an area sales manager or equivalent in machine tool cutting sales is a \xe2\x80\x9cmust\xe2\x80\x9d.
• The ideal candidate would have experience in fabrications and structural sales.
• Must be suited to a project-based solution sell and able to generate a strong pipeline.
• Time serviced apprenticeships and degree level desirable but must have a strong engineering background in Machine.
• A proactive attitude to getting out meeting clients and picking up the phone.
