Role Requirements

Responsible for carrying out all activities within your job description listed below, ensuring that procedures are followed pertaining to your responsibilities.



Your role is defined below but when required this can be expanded to support other roles within the department.



To ensure that Quality Standards to BS EN ISO 9001 are maintained and that the quality of all products supplied by Howco conform to our own quality standards as well as our customers



To ensure all health and safety regulations are observed and maintained



To promote and encourage effective communication.



To assist in implementation of total quality and process improvement at Howco.

Duties and Responsibilities

Developing existing customer base, research and identify new customers to increase opportunities for machined components and assemblies. This will include face to face visits and online meetings as required.



Travel to customer sites will be required.



Estimate and quote customer RFQ's using ERP system (EFACS) including build & maintain part master database and BOM structures in line with customer specifications.



Ensure that customer RFQ deadlines are adhered to and follow up quotations with a view to receiving feedback/order.



Communicate and liaise with other departments regarding technical requirements, capabilities and lead-times.



Specify RAW material dimensions and send out RFQ for cost calculations.



Identify sub contract services required & obtain relevant pricing and lead times from approved vendors i.e. welding, coating, spark erosion, plating, etc.



Populate EFACS database with routings, costs, stock parameters including lead times.



Ensure any deviation from drawing and/or specifications are clearly documented in the quotation sent to the customer.



Attend internal pre-production meetings on behalf of sales/estimating.

Competencies

Strong technical background, ideally in CNC machining and manufacturing processes.



Good attention to detail.



Strong team player with a positive attitude.



Must be self-motivated.



Willing to meet deadlines and achieve Howco goals.

Job Requirements Qualifications

Previous experience within manufacturing ideally machining (e.g. machinist who is looking to further their career into sales, estimating & the commercial environment).



Technical experience or qualifications would be advantageous.
