We are now looking for a driven and commercially minded Sales Executive / Account Manager to join our Sales Team.
The Role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with a strong focus on account management, relationship building, and sales growth. You will take ownership of a portfolio of customers while also identifying new business opportunities.
Due to the nature of the fresh flower industry, weekend working may be required during peak trading periods (such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and other seasonal peaks). Overtime may also be required at these times to ensure customer service levels are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Customer Relationships
Independently manage a portfolio of wholesale, online, and retail customers
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen partnerships
Deliver excellent customer service, including issue resolution
Provide holiday cover for colleagues by supporting other customer accounts
Sales & Business Development
Develop existing accounts while identifying new business opportunities
Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals
Negotiate pricing, volumes, and supply agreements to drive profitable growth
Identify customer trends and tailor offers accordingly
Contribute to sales forecasting and planning
Operational & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Logistics and Operations to manage customer expectations
Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure smooth fulfilment
Monitor stock availability and align supply with customer demand
Use Florisoft for order processing, sales tracking, and reporting
Support peak-period operational requirements, including weekend working and overtime when required
What We're Looking For
Proven sales or account management experience within perishables, fresh produce, or floral industries
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and take ownership of a customer portfolio
Excellent relationship management and communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak periods
Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to support the business during seasonal peaks
Salary & Benefits
30,000 - 45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
OTE bonus structure based on individual performance
Hybrid working available (3 days office / 2 days remote after training; office-based preferred)
Full-time in-office during initial training period
Weekend working and overtime may be required during peak periods
