Freight Connect Services Ltd is a UK based customs clearance house specialising in air freight imports. From our 10,000?sq?ft customs approved warehouse we provide comprehensive customs brokerage services, allowing clients to clear and collect shipments quickly from UK ports. We handle UK bound imports and cross trade shipments, offering end to end solutions.

Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Executive to join our team with a focus on air cargo imports. You will drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, developing long term relationships with import clients and freight forwarders, and collaborating with our operations and customs teams to ensure seamless clearance and delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in freight forwarding sales, strong customer relationship management skills and the ability to work independently while meeting ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities



Develop new business: Proactively prospect and qualify leads, conduct cold calling/email campaigns, network at industry events, and build a strong sales pipeline. Relationship management: Build and maintain long term relationships with import clients and overseas agents; meet clients face to face to understand their needs and present tailored solutions. Quotations and proposals: Gather customer requirements, liaise with pricing and operations teams to prepare accurate quotations and proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms to meet company profitability goals. Pipeline and performance management: Maintain detailed records in CRM and freight management systems, report on sales activity and performance metrics, and achieve revenue and growth targets. Cross functional collaboration: Work closely with customs brokers, warehouse staff and transport partners to ensure smooth clearance and delivery of shipments; provide feedback on service levels and customer requirements. Market intelligence: Conduct market research to monitor competitor activities, pricing and industry trends, and recommend strategies to enhance the company's market. Customer support: Follow up on quotes, secure bookings, assist with shipment tracking and issue resolution, and maintain high customer satisfaction.

Requirements



Minimum of 3 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales, with a strong record of winning new business and developing existing accounts. In depth knowledge of air freight import processes, customs procedures and supply chain management. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; confident in client facing situations and contract negotiations. Proactive, self motivated and results oriented, with strong organisational and time management abilities. Proficient in CRM systems and MS Office; ability to manage and report on sales. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites and trade events as needed.
