1 Hotel, Mayfair is in search of a seasoned and highly ambitious, Sales Executive, Entertainment and Corporate to ensure the Hotel is positioned, through strong relationships with key corporate accounts, music and touring companies, film and production, studios and all key 3rd party agencies and travel management companies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Corporate Market and drive minimum fair market share of room nights and revenue to ensure maximum yield in line with hotel budgetary objectives.
  • Maintain valid call objectives and relevant sales action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow up is executed in a timely manner.
  • To negotiate corporate rates within the guidelines set by the Director of Sales and Director of Revenue and monitor their production monthly.
  • To ensure all negotiated are loaded correctly in PMS system and GDS system with support from Director of Revenue
  • To have close collaborative relationship with Reservations Associate to ensure wherever possible, room and suite enquiries are converted
  • Lead the Entertainment market and drive minimum fair market share of transient, group room nights and revenue as well as event revenue in line with sales budgetary objectives
  • Responsible to manage, build strong relationships and drive transient, group rooms and events across all sub-categories of Entertainment segment:
Music | Record Label companies
Film Studios | Direct Press & PR (junkets)
Music & Touring 3rd party Agencies
Film & Production 3rd party Agencies * To have close collaborative relationship with Director of Revenue for all group (8+ rooms) enquiries, special long stays, and all signature suite bookings to drive right rates
  • To have very close collaborative relationship and consistent communication with the Head of Groups & Events as well as the Groups & Events Coordinator as these two positions will handle all corporate group and event requests from enquiry to invoice stage.
  • Only where applicable and needed, to support Head of Group & Events on site inspections with closing of enquiries to deliver budgeted revenues and meet, exceed personal quotas
  • Remain flexible and will require to have hands on approach to enter all information related to transient reservations in PMS system, complete rooming lists for groups, etc
Qualifications

About you...
  • Passionate sales Executive with 3+ years of progressive corporate & entertainment sales experience in an upper upscale and/or luxury environment.
  • Proven ability to develop the entertainment sales tactics and strategy in collaboration with the Director of Sales
  • Polished presentation skills, exceptional follow-up capabilities and great business development acumen.
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree preferred.
  • Technically savvy and familiar with hospitality sales systems.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
