Job Purpose
To manage own accounts and ensure the sales growth targets are met, whilst generating new business within your own territory. This role require day to day contact with key customers, building relationships and securing work.
Responsibilities
Account management and relationship building via face-to-face office and site meetings with customers.
Hitting sales growth targets for managed accounts.
Gather information on competitor activities, major projects and market conditions within your own territory.
New business generation with lapsed/prospect customers.
Identify sales opportunities by way of proactive sales methods.
Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities and gather further information on enquiries.
Pricing sales enquiries using pricing resources provided.
Maintain individual sales pipelines & ensure all CRM opportunities are kept up-to-date.
Converting quotations into orders via regular customer contact.
Feeding back KPI's and work secured statistics to management on a weekly basis.
Attend networking events and conferences.
Provide mentoring to internal sales teams.
Finding opportunities in the market, to improve profit margins for the Mick George Group.
Skills & Competencies Required
Highly organised with a confident telephone manner
Ability to be methodical and flexible in approach to tasks
Excellent MS Office Skills
Flexibility to get tasks completed as needed
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work under instruction whilst using own initiative where necessary
Highly organised with a polite and confident telephone manner
Full UK driving licence with own transport- desirable
Pro-active individual
Excellent understanding of the construction industry
Committed to providing first rate customer service internally and externally
Driven self-starter, comfortable with working alone and as a pro-active team member
Highly organised with the ability to work in a pressurised environment
The confidence and competence to deliver against targets and KPIs
The written communication skills to produce succinct correspondence and reports
Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary - amidst challenging demands on time
