We are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. They will be responsible for driving new business across Wakefield Trinity by engaging businesses face-to-face, building long-term relationships, and generating revenue from sponsorship, hospitality, events, conferencing, and commercial partnerships. The role is heavily field-based but includes significant matchday responsibilities, acting as a senior commercial contact for partners.
Key Responsibilities
Field Sales & Regional Representation
Conduct daily external meetings, site visits, and networking opportunities.
Build strategic relationships with businesses throughout Wakefield and surrounding areas.
Represent the club at local business events, chamber meetings, networking breakfasts, and exhibitions.
Commercial Sales
Secure new sponsorship deals, corporate partnerships, advertising packages, and digital content sponsorship.
Sell hospitality packages, seasonal boxes, and business club memberships.
Identify opportunities for upselling and renewals within accounts.
Events & Conferencing Sales
Drive bookings for private events, corporate meetings, parties, and conferences.
Work closely with events operations to ensure smooth delivery and repeat business.
Support planning and selling of club-led events (e.g. awards dinners, themed nights).
Matchday Responsibilities (All 13 Home Matches)
Act as a senior point of contact for commercial partners and hospitality clients.
Assist with stadium operations including sponsor activations, corporate hosting, and stadium management.
Ensure partner deliverables are fulfilled to a professional standard.
Assist with the management and hosting of commercial partners, sponsors, and hospitality clients.
Oversee operational elements including sponsor activations, hospitality areas, and logistics.
Ensure an exceptional matchday experience for all guests.
Reporting & Strategy
Maintain detailed records for all meetings and opportunities.
Provide regular insight on market trends, pricing feedback, and competitor activity.
Support the Commercial Manager on developing new commercial products and strategies.
Skills & Experience Required
Strong track record in field sales or B2B business development.
Confident networker and relationship builder with strong presentation and negotiational skills.
Commercially minded, target-driven, and able to work autonomously.
Comfortable representing the club in a professional and ambassadorial capacity.
Experience in sport, events, hospitality, or sponsorship sales preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
