Job Purpose:
As an
Inbound Telephone Sales Administrator,
you will play a pivotal front-line role within our sales and service team. Your primary responsibility is to deliver a first-class experience to inbound customers. You'll be the trusted point of contact for customers offering expert product knowledge, handling complex queries, processing high-value orders, and offering tailored solutions to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on building strong relationships with customers, has a warm and professional telephone manner, and enjoys problem-solving to deliver excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage high volumes of inbound calls and email enquiries from trade and retail customers, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism and urgency.
Build strong, long-term relationships with key customer accounts, understanding their business needs to provide customised advice and product recommendations.
Accurately process customer orders into our ERP/CRM system, ensuring right-first-time data entry.
Take ownership of complex customer service issues or delivery challenges, coordinating across logistics, sales, and warehouse teams for swift resolution.
Work closely with sales managers, warehouse, transport, and accounts teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, becoming a trusted advisor to customers and colleagues alike.
Identify and recommend opportunities to up-sell or cross-sell based on customer needs
Maintain accurate records of calls, customer interactions, orders and payments
Candidate Requirements:
Experience in B2B sales business.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify value-add opportunities within customer conversations.
Excellent telephone manner with the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and adapt to a variety of customer personalities and business types.
Confident in using CRM, ERP, and order processing software along with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
High attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Proactive, resilient, and solutions-focused, with a continuous improvement mindset.
