Judges is a 120-year-old designer and manufacturer of giftware for the tourist market, everything we do takes place in our iconic building just off the seafront in St Leonards on Sea.

The New Role:



We have an exciting new role for a dynamic sales individual to join our close-knit team. You will be responsible for analysing data, identifying, pursuing and expanding business with our existing clients and doing the same for prospective new customers. This role requires a proactive individual with a passion for sales, a strategic mindset and the ability to forge strong relationships. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of B2B relationships and ideally experience in design led products

Because of the need for team involvement, this is an office-based role.

Permanent 40 hours a week:normal business hours are 0815-1700 Monday to Thursday and 0815-1545 Friday.

For the right person we are prepared to consider flexible part time hours, to a minimum of 25 per week but this must include every Monday morning from 0815 to incorporate our weekly team meetings.

Full or part time flexible hours, permanent.

Monday to Friday.

Salary: circa 28,000-31,000/pro-rata for part time hours, depending on experience.

Skills:



Sales: Be highly self-motivated and pro-active and able to work with little guidance.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities: - phone, face to face and written. To present information, engage with customers and handle objections. Communication with internal departments to present accurate orders and ensure a seamless customer experience.

Strong listening and presentation skills.

Team player: Ability to build rapport, trust and strong long-term relationships with colleagues and customers.

Confidence in negotiating favourable terms and fulfilling customer expectations.

Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks, manage sales and meet deadlines and work with production team.

Reporting: Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status and results to senior management on a regular basis.

Understand our industry, competitive landscape and target market. Stay up to date with industry trends and customer opportunities.

IT, CRM, maintain records, we use Sage based software

Experience: proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Show examples of previously being independent and proactive, dealing with pressure situations, overcoming hurdles.

Ability to analyse data, spot trends and gaps in the market, self-initiate campaigns and convert to production orders.

Within any small/medium size company that suffers from extreme seasonal fluctuation of orders, every staff member is required to be completely flexible in their attitude towards their role within the Company. At certain times the employee will be required to undertake projects and operations which are not defined within their job description, resulting in the need to work additional hours. The Directors expect this flexibility and trust that the employee understands why and when it is necessary.
