The Role:




As the leader of our strategic growth channel of 'core speciality', which includes our hero target growth channel of speciality cafes, bakeries & coffee shops, alongside secondary channels of pubs, bars and restaurants, you will own and spearhead the growth of our national strategy and be the key driver of the delivery of the revenue goals. This role is about more than just the numbers, you'll be a thought leader in the coffee community, putting Caravans name front and centre in the speciality coffee community by continuing to build your network in our community.


Alongside being the key contributor to the delivery of the numbers, you will manage the supporting Account Management team of Account Manager and Training Manager, whilst playing a supporting role in the management of our Manchester Roastery Manager, who will be executing your growth strategies in the North. We pride ourselves on striving to give 'best in class' once we've won an account, you'll be developing what this looks like and upholding those standards.


As sales Leader - Core speciality channel your responsibilities include:

Channel performance & P&L management:

Full management of the channel P&L accountable for the top & bottom-line performance, reporting such performance back to the businesses.

Strategic Channel growth:

Development and execution of the channel growth plans, unlocking strategic new business opportunities, whilst delivering commercial performance for our current business through best-in-class account management. Within this, you will develop and execute jbps that deliver mutually beneficial growth whilst upholding Caravan's speciality coffee cup and experience standard for the end consumer.

Industry thought leader:

You'll be a key recognised thought leader in the coffee community. Regularly attending industry events as both an attendee and keynote speaker, continuing to build on your already strong network within the specialty community. You will work with the Head of Marketing to run events to further develop your own position as a leader in the space and Caravan's position in the community.

Strategic leadership of our account management team:

Create and execute strategies that drive forward the commercial performance of our current accounts while simultaneously growing brand love with our customers.

Team leadership & performance management:

As a key leader for the Account Management team, you will harbour a collaborative culture that encourages the learning and development of your team, tracking and monitoring your team's performance, reporting back to the wider business.

Financial Accountability & Reporting:

You will be accountable for the financial performance and subsequent reporting of our current accounts and supporting functions of Training & Events. Managing the P&Ls to drive both top-line performance and profitability of the departments, ensuring all reporting standards are upheld via our reporting tools,forecast files, Workvivo and the like.
