As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Ledger Analyst to join our finance team and help drive our business forward.
Role Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Analyst to join our busy Credit Control team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our sales ledger processes, supporting the financial health of the company in accounts receivable and maintaining robust relationships with our customers.
Main Responsibilities
Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts,
Work closely with the sales and finance teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoicing and payments.
Contact customers regarding outstanding debt and provide clear, professional support to resolve payment issues.
Daily Bank Reconciliations
Prepare regular statements and reports on the status of accounts receivable.
Create and maintain up-to-date customer accounts, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
Assist in establishing and reviewing credit limits for new and existing customers.
Support the month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts receivable.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the credit control process.
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial analysis (ideally within the distribution or FMCG sectors).
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Team player with a proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English; AAT or equivalent qualification desirable.
