Location:

Prudhoe (near Newcastle upon Tyne)

Working arrangement and hours:

Full time (37.5 hours per week) and based on-site. 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Offer package:

We're on the lookout for a Sales Ledger and Treasury Assistant who thrives in the detail, takes ownership of processes and enjoys keeping financial records accurate, timely and well-organised.

In this newly created role, you'll play a key role in invoicing, reconciliation and cash flow management working closely with customers to resolve queries and support accurate reporting.

We're a small, agile team tackling big engineering challenges so you'll have the freedom to take real ownership of your work and see the direct impact of it.

OpenWorks Engineering develop CUAS, Air Defence and Optical Surveillance, Sensing and Tracking Technology for Defence and Security.

We've developed an award winning and innovative drone capture and autonomous optical detection and tracking technology. The systems offer the capability to protect high profile assets, facilities, the public and VIPs from the threats posed by Aerial threats.

Main responsibilities:



In your first six months, you'll help shape our sales ledger process, become the go-to person for bank payments and build confidence in daily reconciliations across all accounts.

You'll:



Raise sales invoices, manage customer payments and reconcile customer accounts

Perform regular reconciliations of sales ledgers to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Address and resolve queries from customers in a timely and professional manner

Follow up outstanding debt and resolve late payment queries

Send end of month statements

Assist with the preparation of payment runs, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time

Reconcile all bank accounts daily

Assist with month-end reporting and ensure all ledger balances are correctly reflected in financial reports

Take an active part in project meetings to ensure financial information is captured

Ensure project reports are kept up to date for financial information

What we're looking for:



AAT part qualified or qualified by relevant experience

Experience of working in multiple currencies

Excellent communication skills

Proactive approach to problem-solving

Excellent attention to detail
