Job Description
An established and growing business based in Northampton is looking to appoint a Sales Ledger / Credit Control Clerk to join their friendly finance team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of customer accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day management of customer accounts, ensuring balances are up to date and payments are received on time. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and internal departments to resolve queries efficiently. Support the preparation of reports to assist with the month-end process. Process incoming payments, allocate receipts, and maintain accurate records. Produce customer statements and respond to copy invoice requests. Assist with setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing information. Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks when required.
About You:
Experience within a finance, sales ledger or credit control position. Strong communication skills and confidence when dealing with customers. High attention to detail and accuracy in your work. Competent using Excel and general finance systems. A proactive team player who enjoys taking ownership and solving problems.
