PHL UK Ltd is one of the leading forklift dealers in the UK, specialising in both new and used forklifts, with a strong reputation for quality and reliability. We are now looking for an energetic and confident Salesperson to join our growing team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for selling forklifts and material handling equipment to customers across the UK and abroad. You'll handle both inbound and outbound sales, build relationships with clients, and close deals that help drive the company's growth.
We're after someone who isn't afraid to pick up the phone, who enjoys talking to people, and who has genuine knowledge and passion for forklifts.
Key Responsibilities
-Actively sell forklifts and material handling equipment to customers in the UK.
-Manage and grow existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities.
-Respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, and follow up with leads to secure sales.
-Maintain regular communication with clients, dealers, and suppliers.
-Keep up to date with the company's stock and promotions to ensure accurate product knowledge.
-Work closely with the marketing, transport, and workshop teams to ensure smooth sales operations.
-Meet sales targets and report regularly to management on progress and opportunities.
About You
-Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in material handling or plant machinery
-Confident, enthusiastic, and eager to engage with customers over the phone and in person.
-Strong communication and negotiation skills.
-Good understanding of forklifts and related technical details.
-Highly motivated and target-driven, with the ability to manage your own workload.
-Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
-This is a non-smoking role; applicants must be non-smokers
-Full valid driving licence essential
You will be provided with a company laptop and mobile phone. The role requires you to plan your weekly schedule to visit customer sites, maintaining relationships with existing clients while actively developing new business opportunities.
