As an Area Sales Manager within our Environmental Municipal Civil business, you will play a key role in growing rental and hire solutions across the North. This Area Sales Manager, sometimes known as a regional sales or municipal sales role, focuses on building long term partnerships with local authorities, contractors, and commercial customers while maximising asset utilisation.
Identify and secure short and long term rental opportunities across municipal and warehouse cleaning equipment.
Build strong relationships with councils, decision makers, suppliers, and internal branch teams.
Manage enquiries, tenders, site surveys, and follow up activity to convert opportunities into business.
Support regional sales plans by working closely with Sales Managers, Area Sales Managers, and Sales Executives.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and forecasts to support regional performance.
About You
You are comfortable building relationships face to face and enjoy spotting opportunities others may miss.
Proven experience in a sales focused role with confidence negotiating and closing agreements.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with regional and branch teams.
Able to build trust with customers in public sector or infrastructure focused environments.
Organised, proactive, and confident managing a varied regional workload.
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
