Role Purpose:



Whisky Asset (UK) Limited is a company which operates within the Scotch Whisky Cask industry. As part of our operation within the Scotch Whisky Cask Industry we focus on the sale of Scotch Whisky Casks and Private Cask Bottlings.

As sales is a crucial part of Whisky Asset (UK) Limited's identity and purpose, we are looking for a skilled individual who will be able to provide a high-quality and consistent level of service to their clients, sell the business to new prospects, gain traction by utilising social media, encouraging partnerships and collaborations in line with Whisky Assets core values, organisational polices and legal requirements.

While also being able to lead and develop a team of experienced sales associates, sales executives and account managers.

The right candidate will be able to coordinate multiple moving parts within a fast-paced environment and ensure that any last-minute changes and obstacles are managed with minimal disruption to the business. They will also be able to hold their direct reports accountable for their actions and ensure that they are able to meet their KPI's and Sales Targets.

The candidate will also be aiding in the development of the Sales Team Department. Aiding in the development of policies, practices, procedures and training programmes for their department.

Key Accountabilities:



Developing and implementing strategic sales plans that expand our client base and solidifies our presence in the field. Developing strategies to promote the company's products and services Preparing sales forecasts, establishing sales goals and communicating these to the marketing and sales teams. Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing sales teams and by assessing the teams' strengths and weaknesses. Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies and programmes to capture key demographics. Providing daily reports of field sales success and communicating the Voice of the Customer (VOC) data to superiors. Allocate key business areas to members of the sales team.

Qualification, Skills and Experience Requirements:



Occupational Essential



Extensive experience within a relevant field, contributing to a high-performing sales/marketing team in a similar role to a sales manager.

Previous experience within the Whisky Industry would be a positive

Extensive previous experience as a Senior Sales Executive, Sales Lead or Sales Manager.

Personal Qualities Essential



Ability to work autonomously within parameters defined by line management.

Effective communication, influencing and negotiating skills in respect to routine Sales matters.

Knowledge and understanding of expert marketing strategies, policies, and good practice.

Highly organised, accurate and attentive to details.

Ability to interpret, manipulate and analyse data to inform business proposals, performance, and impact by providing insight/reports as required.

Flexibility to balance and deliver multiple, often conflicting priorities under pressure.

Ability to problem solve, advise, and guide colleagues/customers within relevant field and allocated remit.

Inclusive and initiative-taking team member.

Special Aptitudes Essential



Highly proficient in the Microsoft 365 Package (excel, word, PowerPoint etc).

Highly proficient in marketing software. (Knowledge in HubSpot would be an advantage).

Drivers Licence Required: Yes

Special Requirements for the Post: Knowledge of the Whisky Cask Industry.
