Taylor Engineering is a proud family-run business specialising in welding, machining, and manufacturing high-quality parts for refuse vehicles. With a strong reputation for precision, durability, and reliability, we support waste management companies across the UK with expertly crafted components built to last.
We are now looking for a motivated Sales Representative to help grow our customer base and strengthen relationships across the industry. This is a varied role combining on-the-road sales with occasional hands-on support within the factory.
Key Responsibilities - Sales Focus
Travel across the UK to visit customers, promote our products, and generate new business
Build and maintain strong relationships with waste management companies and vehicle service providers
Represent the company professionally, showcasing our parts, capabilities, and service quality
Identify new sales opportunities and follow up on leads
Provide customer feedback to the Factory Manager to support ongoing product improvements
Supporting Responsibilities (Factory & Admin)
Assist with order processing, data entry, and general administrative tasks
Help wrap and prepare large, heavy parcels for dispatch when required (manual handling required)
Support purchasing and stock control, including liaising with suppliers
Occasionally assist in the workshop with general hand duties
Help maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
About You
Confident communicator with a professional, friendly manner
Motivated, proactive, and comfortable working independently on the road
Organised and able to manage your own schedule and customer visits
Practical and willing to get involved in factory/admin tasks when needed
Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on factory environment when on-site
Full clean UK driving licence essential
(regular UK-wide travel)
Computer-confident and able to handle admin, emails, and order tracking
Experienced in refuse vehicle spares/parts would be beneficial
