Role Overview



We are looking for an experienced

Sales Manager

who has a strong engineering / manufacturing understanding and ideally has worked within the automotive sector. In this role you will lead and develop our sales team, forge strategic relationships, drive growth and align sales activities with our engineering-driven supply chain business model.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Coler's engineering- and procurement-led value proposition, with particular emphasis on automotive and supply-chain sourcing business. Lead, motivate and manage the sales team to achieve defined sales targets, improve performance and develop talent. Build and maintain relationships with key clients (especially in automotive and associated supply chain), identify and win new business opportunities. Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing and procurement teams to ensure customer requirements (technical, cost, delivery) are fully met. Monitor market trends, especially in automotive-components and supply-chain sourcing, and respond with appropriate sales tactics. Oversee sales process including quoting, forecasting, reporting and pipeline management; present regular updates to senior management. Ensure high standards of client communication (including phone, email, in-person) and maintain well-organised records of sales and pipeline activity. Work with marketing, product/engineering and operations teams to support promotional campaigns, product launches and customer collateral. Train and develop the sales team to enhance technical product knowledge, selling skills and supply-chain awareness.

Ideal Candidate Profile



Proven sales or sales-management experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to the automotive sector or automotive supply chain. Good engineering understanding (e.g., of components, supply-chain sourcing, manufacturing processes, procurement challenges) so you can engage credibly with technical clients and internal engineering teams. Strong leadership and team-management skills: able to inspire, develop, monitor performance, set targets and hold the team accountable. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone-etiquette and ability to engage clients across levels. Highly organised, with strong time-management skills and ability to manage a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Strategic thinker: able to analyse markets, understand competitor activities, develop actionable sales plans and adapt as needed. Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally (sales, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, marketing) to align customer needs with company capability. Ideally multilingual or bilingual (desirable, not essential) to engage with international clients and global supply-chain contacts. Proactive, self-driven, and results-oriented: you should thrive in driving business growth and helping build a high-performing team in a manufacturing/supply-chain context.
