Job Description

A highly successful vehicle leasing and fleet management business with ambitious growth plans is seeking a Sales & Marketing Director.
As Sales & Marketing Director you'll be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from marketing activity that creates a qualified pipeline through to the acquisition of new customers and the continued growth of existing accounts. You will lead both the sales and marketing functions, working closely with an external agency and a capable internal team to drive measurable and sustained growth.
You will combine strategic leadership with a hands-on approach, using data, CRM insight, and coaching to ensure consistent performance and clear accountability. Collaboration across the wider business and with our funder partners will be key to shaping campaigns, propositions, and long term customer relationships.
This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for a driven and dynamic sales leader with a proven track record delivering sales growth and a firm understanding of marketing and CRM and how this supports sales. You will have a background working for either a vehicle broker, leasing company, lender or finance business with a comprehensive understanding of B2B vehicle leasing, contract hire and fleet management.
Key Responsibilities

  • As part of the Senior Leadership Team, develop strategic sales plans and targets to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Lead, motivate and build a sales team to execute sales and customer growth targets
  • Manage external marketing and CRM agency partners
  • Manage sales & marketing budgets
  • Ensure products remain ahead of the market and in line with customer needs
  • Monitor the full marketing funnel from awareness to conversion.
  • Align campaigns with sales objectives to support lead generation and retention.
  • Drive consistent adoption and use of CRM system and reporting.
  • Use CRM analytics to track conversion rates, sales velocity, and campaign performance.
  • Integrate marketing automation for closed-loop lead management.
About You
  • A proven track record leading a sales team to deliver tangible results and growth
  • Experience working for either a vehicle broker, leasing company, lender or finance business
  • Able to demonstrate a full understanding of B2B vehicle leasing and fleet management
  • A comprehensive knowledge of contract hire and other associated vehicle finance products
  • At least 3 years' experience managing a sales team - including remote employees
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills
  • An understanding of marketing and how it works to drive sales
  • Experience managing external agencies - ideally marketing agencies
  • Experience effectively managing sales & marketing budgets
  • Proficient in effectively using CRM software (ideally Salesforce)
  • Confident using LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and other prospecting tools.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem solving skills
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Be located in either Northern England or Scotland
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK to meet with clients and prospects.
