We have a fantastic new vacancy for Sales & Marketing Executive in the excellent MALDRON HOTEL GLASGOW CITY

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Director of sales, you will maximise the revenue opportunities by proactively bringing new and exisiting business into the hotel. You will convert all enquiries through to the planning of meetings and events.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • To work with the Sales & Marketing Manager to identify, solicit and convert new opportunities in the all market segments in accordance with the hotels yield management objectives.
  • To manage an agreed list of accounts on behalf of the hotel, and be responsible for the development of the revenue levels from these accounts. To recognise and capitalise on all opportunities from these existing businesses; to maintain them to their optimum level.
  • To constantly recognise and develop new accounts from the local corporate markets.
  • To participate fully in all sales activities including tele sales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, social events, promotions. A weekly target of minimum 30 tele-calls and 12 sales calls to be completed.
  • To ensure the accurate processing, distribution, and recording/filing and follow up of all sales correspondence, including the execution of contracts, quotations, confirmations, cancellations etc. .
Requirements:
  • To have at least 1 year\'s experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
  • Reactive sales experience is a must with proactive sales experience desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
