Sales Operations Analyst

Job Description

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for analysing operational and customer data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement whilst managing the relationship with customers of the Business. The role will communicate insights effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, identifying process improvements to streamline insight delivery and operational workflows. This person will support the Sales Operations Manager with daily communications, reporting, organisation and planning in liaison with remote sales teams and other departments.

Duties will include:-

Providing Sales Forecasting and Reporting on a timely and accurate basis, providing data-driven recommendations for pricing and promotional effectiveness. Gather data and produce reports on customer related information ensuring timely completion of agreed sales action plans and compile associated information for use by management. Act as the central point in the coordination of weekly and monthly reporting information from remote Sales Team and Distribution Centres; compiling weekly and monthly sales reports covering customers, BDMs and Distribution Centres' performance and distribute to the relevant parties. Coordinate marketing and promotional activity for Site, liaising with central Marketing Team and relevant suppliers as and when required. To support and act as a back-up for Customer Services' team members, learning and understanding the SOP function. Be active in the development and support with training for CRM system, assisting with strategies that improve customer engagement. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members, internal partners, customers and others using good interpersonal skills. Support with administration tasks such as new product forms and pricing updates Assist in the organisation of presentations which may involve attending customer events / trade shows as advised by Sales Operations Manager. Support the Sales Operations Manager with any ad hoc tasks and provide cover during times of absence

Essential Criteria:



Previous experience within an analytical commercial role Strong IT knowledge and ability to work across applications; Microsoft/Sage/CRM systems. Excellent administration skills, analytical and numerate Strong verbal and written communication Knowledge of UK and Irish food service market / catering industry Experience of working in a busy Sales & Marketing environment Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organisation Strong customer relationship building skills Reliable and organised Excellent attention to detail

Desirable Criteria:



Knowledge of Sales Operations in UK and Irish food service market / catering industry Detailed knowledge of food service distribution
