We're looking for a Sales & Operations Lead to sit at the centre of the business and own the day-to-day commercial flow, from first enquiry through to delivery, installation and after-sales support.
You'll work closely with the founder and our Install Lead, alongside the wider office and installation team, to ensure sales, scheduling and operations run smoothly as the business grows.
This role exists to take pressure off the founder by owning sales enquiries, customer communication and scheduling, helping the business operate in a more structured, scalable way.
You will effectively run the engine of the business by converting enquiries into revenue, coordinating deliveries and installs, and ensuring every customer has a smooth, professional experience.
A genuine interest in fitness, training or gym environments is important in this role. Our customers expect knowledgeable, confident advice, and the best people in this position enjoy learning about gym equipment, training setups and how different spaces are used in real-world training environments.
This role involves managing multiple moving parts at the same time, including sales enquiries, scheduling, customer communication and operational changes. The right person enjoys this pace, stays organised under pressure, and can keep several plates spinning without dropping standards.
This is a role with real responsibility from day one, and clear progression for someone who proves themselves.
About Hill Fitness:
Hill Fitness is a fast-growing gym equipment retailer and installer serving home gyms, commercial gyms and sports clubs across Northern Ireland and Ireland. We're known for quality products, honest advice and a no-nonsense, high-standard customer experience.
The business is entering its next growth phase, and this role is critical in building the systems, structure and standards to support that growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience
Manage inbound leads via phone, email, website, social platforms and marketplaces
Qualify enquiries and provide accurate, confident product advice
Create, send and follow up quotes to convert enquiries into orders
Own customer communication from first contact through to after-sales
Product Knowledge & Training (Core to the Role)
Become an expert across the Hill Fitness product range
Learn specifications, pricing, use-cases and positioning in detail
Understand how equipment is actually used in training, not just on paper
Complete internal product training and pass structured product knowledge assessments
Maintain extremely high standards of accuracy with no guessing or blagging
Take pride in helping customers choose the right equipment for their goals, space and budget
Operations & Logistics
Schedule deliveries and installations efficiently
Coordinate with drivers, installers and warehouse staff
Ensure orders are picked, packed and dispatched correctly
Handle issues calmly and professionally when plans change
Founder Support & Business Improvement
Own day-to-day sales flow, customer communication and scheduling
Work closely with the founder to free up time for growth and strategy
Coordinate planning with the Install Lead and installation team
Support and strengthen existing office processes
Identify inefficiencies and suggest better systems or ways of working
What We're Looking For:
Confident, professional communicator by phone, email and in person
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Commercially minded and able to prioritise effectively
Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Able to switch context quickly while staying accurate and organised
Works well under pressure and keeps a level head when things get busy
Takes ownership rather than waiting to be told
Willing to learn the business inside-out
Genuine interest in fitness, training, gyms or strength and conditioning
Enjoys learning about gym equipment and training environments
Cares about giving customers the right advice, not just closing a sale
Experience in sales, operations, logistics, retail, e-commerce or trade environments is a plus, but attitude, capability and work ethic matter more than CVs.
The Opportunity:
High-responsibility role with genuine ownership
Direct exposure to how a fast-growing business operates and scales
Structured progression as competence, product mastery and impact increase
Regular performance and salary reviews tied to reliability, knowledge and results
