We are looking for a motivated and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team of 20+ professionals, driving the achievement of our sales targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and inspiring the team, developing and implementing sales initiatives, and closely monitoring performance metrics. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Sales Manager will play a key role in ensuring the company's sales objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of over 20 sales professionals, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet individual and team targets.
Conduct daily sales briefings to align the team with daily goals, strategies, and expectations.
Monitor and manage the performance of the sales team, providing regular feedback and coaching to foster continuous improvement.
Cultivate a positive, high-energy sales environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional development.
Develop, implement, and monitor sales initiatives aimed at achieving company revenue goals and expanding market share.
Work closely with the Sales Director and other senior leaders to set sales targets and strategies.
Analyse sales data and market trends to adjust strategies and ensure the team is focused on the most promising opportunities.
Lead weekly sales meetings with directors to review performance, address challenges, and refine strategies.
Track and report on key sales metrics, including individual and team performance against targets.
Implement and manage performance improvement plans for underperforming team members.
Ensure the team adheres to company sales policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Act as the primary liaison between the sales team and senior management.
Provide regular updates to the Sales Director on team performance, sales forecasts, and potential challenges.
Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment on sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
Support the team in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
Assist in negotiating and closing major deals, as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional qualification is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
