We are a family-run and rapidly growing food manufacturing business based in Halifax. With a focus on high-quality, we supply a wide range of food-to-go products to customers across the UK. As we expand, we're looking for a motivated and results-oriented Sales Representative and Account Manager to join our team.
Role Overview
This role offers the chance to work in a hybrid capacity, balancing time between the office, remote work, and on-site visits to clients.
This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role for someone who knows how to prospect, pitch, and close - from initial outreach through to long-term account management.
You'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing commercial relationships, and driving sustainable growth for the Northern Bites brand.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, proactively approaching potential clients in the food industry
Manage and develop existing accounts, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer needs are met
Conduct face-to-face client meetings to present our product offerings and understand customer requirements
Develop and implement sales strategies that align with business goals and meet targets
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the management team
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth client onboarding and support process
Requirements
You'll be the kind of person who doesn't wait for leads to land in your lap. You're commercially sharp, confident with people, and understand how to open doors in foodservice and retail. You'll have:
Proven sales or business development experience
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Comfortable working independently and travelling across the North of England.
Entrepreneurial mindset - motivated by growth and results, not routine.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own car
Desirable Skills
Sales experience in food, FMCG, or foodservice
