Purpose of the position



We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven on-site Sales Representative with experience in the modular, portable buildings, or construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the sales function, driving new business and managing key client accounts while promoting bespoke, sustainable, and high-quality modular building solutions.

You will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, fostering long-term client relationships, and contributing to the growth and innovation that underpin our mission.

Key responsibilities & duties



1. Sales Strategy & Business Development

Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with company goals and market demands. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the modular buildings, portable accommodation, and construction sectors. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential clients, and key growth sectors. Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation through to deal closure and post-sale follow-up.

2. Client Relationship Management

Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with clients, ensuring full understanding of their workspace requirements. Provide expert advice and tailored modular solutions, supporting our mission to offer customisable, fit-for-purpose units. Organize client meetings, site visits, presentations, and product demonstrations. Ensure exceptional customer service, addressing client needs with transparency, efficiency, and professionalism.

3. Sales Operations Management

Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and contract documentation in collaboration with internal teams. Collect complete RFQ details, coordinate with engineering/ops, and issue clear, margin-aligned quotes. Log and track quotes in the CRM, following up to boost conversion rates. Break drawings into labour, material and subcontract costs using up-to-date supplier rates. Add contingencies and margin targets; compare with past jobs to spot anomalies. Generate a structured BOM in the ERP from approved estimates and drawings. Verify part numbers, quantities and long-lead items; update promptly when design changes. Track and report on sales metrics, forecasts, and pipeline activities using CRM systems. Collaborate closely with design, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless project delivery. Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and procedures.

4. Brand Representation

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions to promote brand awareness and generate leads. Uphold the company's values by championing sustainability, innovation, and quality in all interactions.

Work experience & skills & qualifications



Proven track record in a sales role within the modular buildings, portable accommodation, or construction sector. Strong business development and account management skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets In-depth understanding of the construction process, modular solutions, and client project lifecycles. Good construction material knowledge Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications is advantageous. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a can-do, client-first attitude. Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools. Full, clean UK driving license required.

Pay: 32,950.00-44,650.00 per year
