is responsible for managing and converting inbound sales enquiries, supporting assigned customer accounts, and driving revenue through consultative selling and proactive follow-up. This role owns the sales process from initial enquiry through to order completion, providing product guidance, preparing quotes, closing sales, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
The Internal Sales Representative works closely with Sales Managers, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure accurate execution, strong pipeline management, and consistent delivery across key customer segments including studios, fitness clubs, hospitality, and wellness partners.
This position is ideal for a commercially minded, detail-driven professional who enjoys selling, problem-solving, and being a reliable internal partner to the broader sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Sales & Account Management
Manage inbound sales enquiries from website, marketing campaigns, events, and referrals
Manage assigned customer accounts and territories as required
Qualify customer needs and recommend appropriate Merrithew and Align-Pilates solutions
Prepare and present quotes, product configurations, and pricing options
Proactively follow up on quotes and opportunities to close sales
Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities where appropriate
Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of opportunities, quotes, and orders in the CRM
Manage a live pipeline of opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and progression
Re-engage inactive leads and past customers to generate repeat business
Escalate and hand over larger or more complex opportunities to Sales Managers when required
Order Processing & Sales Operations
Process sales orders accurately, ensuring correct product selection, pricing, and customer details
Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Customer Service to support order fulfilment
Track order status and communicate updates to customers as needed
Support sales documentation, contracts, and internal reporting
Customer Experience & Brand Representation
Deliver a professional, consultative experience aligned with Merrithew's premium brand
Build trust with studio owners, instructors, and fitness professionals
Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries
Ensure consistent follow-up and attention to detail throughout the customer journey
Performance & Continuous Improvement
Meet or exceed individual sales targets, conversion rates, and response time KPIs
Identify opportunities to improve internal sales processes and CRM usage
Share customer feedback and insights with Sales and Marketing teams
Maintain strong knowledge of Merrithew and Align product ranges
Qualifications & Skills Required
2+ years' experience in internal sales, inside sales, account management, or sales support
Proven ability to manage inbound enquiries and close sales
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce, Sage, HubSpot, or similar)
Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in Pilates, fitness, wellness, or boutique studio markets
Familiarity with quoting, order processing, and sales operations
Consultative or solution-based selling experience
Comfort working to sales targets and performance metrics
