The main purpose of the Commercial Sales Representative position is to increase sales and service customer requirements for Ultra Distributors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude towards sales and customer service and the ability to thrive in a pressurized environment. The role primarily focuses on the sale of building and home improvement materials.
Responsibilities include:
Develop new customer accounts, increase sales, and achieve sales targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact within Ultra for customer sales support and maintain excellent customer service.
Develop new business and own-brand products in the Northern Ireland, ROI, and Scotland markets.
Assist with the development of new products tailored to these markets.
Provide first-class customer service and after-sales support to all Ultra customers.
Work closely with the General Manager to fulfil daily sales requirements.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in selling building materials.
Experience in developing new customer accounts.
Proficient IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and time management skills.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Highly motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
All duties and tasks must be performed efficiently and accurately, resulting in excellent service provision. Metrics include:
Achievement of sales targets.
Completing Daily Sales Records (DSRs).
Customer retention and feedback.
Feedback from colleagues and customers.
RELATING TO PEOPLE INTERNALLY
Close working relationship with the General Manager, colleagues, and SIG Ireland companies.
Collaborate with contracted drivers and couriers.
Communicate effectively with colleagues in other SIG subsidiaries.
RELATING TO PEOPLE EXTERNALLY
Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with customers and suppliers.
Maintain a strong focus on customer service, ensuring all customers receive the best possible service.
PROBLEM SOLVING/OPPORTUNITY IDENTIFICATION
Proactively anticipate customer issues and address them swiftly.
Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
