Summary



Widdington Recycling is seeking a commercially focused and proactive Sales Executive/Representative to join our team in Widdington/Haverhill. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of our waste management and aggregates business -- a key part of the sustainable construction and environmental services sector.

The role will focus on new business development, and face-to-face meetings with customers to build relationships and support account growth in skip and aggregate sales primarily into the local builder's market

Responsibilities



Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries, delivering prompt and professional support. Prepare and issue accurate and competitive quotations for waste management and aggregate products. Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through research, outbound calls, and lead generation. Support the sales team with tenders, proposals, and strategic sales initiatives. Attend face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers, to develop relationships and explore new opportunities. Work closely with Operations and Logistics to ensure customer delivery and service requirements are met. Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive repeat business and customer satisfaction.

About You



We are looking for a confident, professional, and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing a sales career within the environmental and construction industries.

You will demonstrate:

A proactive, target-driven approach with a focus on identifying and converting opportunities. Demonstrate at least 2+ years of experience within a sales role Confidence to represent the company in both telephone and face-to-face interactions. Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a professional attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems. Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in waste management, construction, logistics, or facilities services. Strong understanding of operational needs across sectors. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and proactive with a consultative sales approach. Full UK driving licence.
Knowledge or interest in waste management, recycling, or construction materials (advantageous)
