This is a key role within our logistics automation team, combining technical insight with commercial drive. You'll work with leading customers to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and deliver real value through SICK's advanced sensing and automation technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development
Drive new business across Retail and 3PL logistics operations.
Build relationships with decision-makers to improve efficiency, safety, and productivity.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
Deliver product demos and solution presentations.
Prepare clear, structured proposals and quotations.
Account Management
Grow and manage relationships with Intralogistics System Integrators.
Secure project specifications and maximise SICK's involvement.
Maintain regular contact with key accounts to uncover new opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with Regional Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Systems+ teams.
Maintain CRM (Dynamics 365) with opportunities, visits, and forecasts.
Share market insights, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
About You
Minimum 3 years' experience in technical or solution sales within automation or intralogistics.
Proven success selling high-value solutions in the intralogistics space.
Strong understanding of retailers, logistics providers, and system integrators.
Confident communicator with a results-driven mindset.
Able to explain technical concepts clearly and focus on customer value.
Organised, proactive, and self-managing.
Willing to travel within the UK and occasionally Europe.
Engineering or automation background is a plus, but not essential.
Additional Requirement:
Full, clean UK driving licence.
