Our Client is currently recruiting for a Sales Specialist to join it\'s team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Client is flexible on the location for this role and is open to the successful candidate being based in either Ireland, the UK, Europe or the US.

With their new payment acceptance platform, the Client is currently serving the cruise hospitality market and has potential for other similar verticals. The Client handles billions of dollars and millions of transactions. The Client prides itself in delivering an exceptional experience for each customer and is now seeking an experienced Sales Specialist with a passion for helping customers better manage their omnichannel payment experience.

In this role, you will:

Objective

Maintain a sales pipeline and sales plan.

Engage new customers by understanding their needs and pain points and propose appropriate solutions.

Achieve new business targets.

Represent the voice of the customer to shape the overall product, technology and integration strategy for the new Payment Platform product.

Drive the pace at which new business is recruited, ensuring adequate forecasting that enables the supporting functions to match that pace in readiness to deliver.

Specific Accountabilities

Achieving new business revenue growth/

Lead the preparation of the long-term sales plan (sales forecast and solutions based on customer feedback).

Identify and qualify business opportunities by establishing and developing relationships with top-level decision-makers.

Promote and secure customers that have a good fit with other existing capabilities.

Identify customer\'s specific needs and engage the right internal resources to prepare appropriate solutions and proposals supported by viable commercials.

Influence client strategy and awareness of managed service alternatives to in-house capabilities.

Lead on bid management for complex customer engagements \xe2\x80\x93 organising internal responses to client opportunities, including coordinating RFP/RFI responses and follow-up.

Promote and sell products, services and solutions through direct contacts, partner referrals, events and road shows.

Deliver sales presentations to senior management and demonstrate products.

Actively participate in Openconnect marketing activities that build market intelligence and reach.

Maintain market and competitor analysis.

Manage negotiations to closure.

Main Responsibilities

Accountable for new business revenue in line with the strategy for the new Payment Platform.

Maintain a deep understanding of the market and emerging sales opportunities.

Network extensively with customers and partners.

Work collaboratively with the Payments Architect to achieve optimal solution outcomes for both the customer and the Client.

Prepare service and pricing proposals supported by various functions.

Work using existing procedures or guidelines and provide inputs to support/influence area decisions.

Bring new business through to contract signing, handover to Client onboarding and customer success.

Maintain a deep understanding of the Client\'s service catalogue and update frequently as new functionality are added.

Be a strong advocate for the evolving needs of new customers \xe2\x80\x93 a voice of the market.

Represent the voice of the customer to shape the overall technology product/stack, Go-To-Market strategy, roadmap and analytics reporting.

Maintain vibrant internal and external networks to support the new business agenda through deep collaboration.

Requirements

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience & Business Understanding.
  • 7+ years of Sales or Solution Sales experience in the payment acceptance, payment gateway, merchant acquiring or merchant services industry.
  • Understanding of the sales process and experience sourcing business whilst maintaining alignment with Payments Architect, Product and Delivery teams.
  • Experience with merchant payment environments in the travel and hospitality industry. Fidelio Cruise, Opera, Symphony, Seaware, Resco, MXP, InfoGenesis, an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience engaging with customers to understand and map their payment needs, payment technology ecosystems and strategic objectives.
  • Track record of achieving new business targets and a clear passion for solving merchant payment problems.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise buying behaviours amongst leading industry brands, including internal budgeting, funding and approval processes within client organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of payment acceptance for the travel industry \xe2\x80\x93 the Cruise industry is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to make connections and establish meaningful relationships at multiple levels of client and partner organisations.
  • Detail-oriented and with a proven ability to understand and solve client problems.
  • Previous experience in achieving client and company financial objectives through understanding client objectives and influencing and directing internal supporting functions.
  • Excellent analytical skills that allow you to establish facts and draw conclusions that inform prioritisation and action.
  • Strong overall business and people skills, including planning, presentation skills, sales skills and pricing acumen.
  • Proficient communication skills; effectively interface with all levels and departments on a formal, informal, written and verbal basis.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work in a team environment.
